A mining feasibility study is an evaluation of a proposed mining project to determine whether the mineral resource can be mined economically. There are three types of feasibility study used in mining, order of magnitude, preliminary feasibility and detailed feasibility.
A feasibility study is conducted prior to a project’s undertaking such as a gold mine. Principals of companies and their investors want to ensure that any given project they plan on developing is actually “feasible”, and preparing a study showing this feasibility is the main point of writing such a report (which of course will help save needed capital and time in the long run).

1. The Base Case supports the current permitting process. 2.The Extended Mine Plan supports the total Mineral Reserves and may require permit amendments.Extended Mine Plan economic parameters are stand-alone and are not additive to the Base Case. 3. The Company expects to enter into equipment lease arrangements of approximately $134 million. 4. For the purposes of this feasibility study, post
annum and the open-cut mine has an initial life of 16 years. The Feasibility Study has demonstrated that the Proje ct will produce an average of 3.4 million ounces of silver per annum, together with approximately 6900 tonnes of zinc and 5100 tonnes of lead per annum. Due to higher grades in the early stages of mining, average silver
The final Feasibility Study is usually based on the most attractive alternative for the project as previously determined. The aim of the study is to remove all significant uncertainties and to present the relevant information with back up material in a concise and accessible way. The final Feasibility Study has a number of key objectives:

Oct 17, 2019· The full feasibility study is the final step required to determine if a mine is truly viable, and these are more detailed and costly than the previous two study types. This cost comes largely from the associated engineering work that must be done during the study, as it

May 13, 2019· Most mining or oil and gas projects perform an extensive desktop investigation into the mining history at the site, taken from government records and files. This is an important component of the feasibility study as it gives the executives a context in which to
Nov 02, 2020· The Feasibility Study was completed by a group of pioneering consulting firms headed by Ausenco Engineering Canada Inc., which managed the overall study, was responsible for processing and infrastructure design, as well as monitored metallurgical testing; Mine Development Associates, which updated the mineral resource estimate and completed the mine scheduling and estimation of
A comprehensive prefeasibility study should include detailed designs and descriptions for the mining operation, as well as cost estimates, project risks, safety issues and other important information.
Apr 29, 2015· Over my career I have been involved in various types of mine studies, ranging from desktop conceptual to definitive feasibility. Each type of study has a different purpose and therefore requires a different level of input and effort, and can have hugely different costs. I have sat in on a few junior mining management discussions Continue reading...
The Feasibility Study mine plan utilizes a combination of conventional cut & fill (59%), mechanized cut & fill (16%) and longhole mining (25%) methods to extract mineral reserves. Preliminary mining shapes were developed using a Mineable Shape Optimizer (“MSO”) with a cut-off of 4.75 g/t gold, except in the McVeigh Zone which was developed
