Pulse induction designs have the advantage of tolerance to ground effects, and work even when submerged in water. It also performs well on non-ferrous metals. This instructable uses an analog comparator, digital timing vernier, and digital averaging to provide an
Sep 17, 2012· Fig. 2: Pulse Induction Metal Detection Schematic Circuit. Next, a high current switching MOSFET, IRF740 is preferred in the circuit construction act as catalyst to
Nov 18, 2017· For the general Pulse Induction (PI) detectors, a magnetic field is created, then "deleted" and the coil listens to "slow" eddy-currents near the coil. In the LC-Trap version I assume, that we are not really listening to "slow" eddy currents but rather changes in the inductivity and damping of the coil (which might be due to creating eddy currents in nearby objects or storing more energy in
Schematic diagram of White's Surfmaster PI metal detector a good quality, simple PI (Pulse Induction) design with an affordable price. Detects all metallic objects with unbelievable depth and sensitivity, on the hardest-to-hunt black sand beaches and in wet salt.
FelezJoo Schematic Pulse Induction Metal Detectors. This metal detector is very simple and powerful and I think it is the best system that has ever been given for free to the public. It is appropriate here to thank the designer (Mr. Hamid from iran). List of posts.
available schematic for a Pulse Induction (PI) metal detector. The background information of the history and uses of metal detectors is presented as well as the design criteria for out particular project. The theory behind how a basic PI metal detector works is examined, along with the basic details of a readily available design for a detector.

I've done a few projects, including making the SurfPI pulse induction kit, but I am still fairly shaky on the subject, and wouldn't know how to tinker with a design. I have some questions before I get going: 1) I notice R2, Q1, and SV2 are missing on the schematics.

The background information of the history and uses of metal detectors is presented as well as the design criteria for out particular project. The theory behind how a basic PI metal detector works is
Jul 13, 2012· What I found were forums packed with very intelligent people working on homebrew detectors, schematics, circuits, and designs with the electrical engineering knowledge to make very interesting and cost effective metal detectors. I was delighted to find several schematics for Pulse Induction, VLF, and CCO detectors on the Geotech forum.
Second is the Induction Balance (IB) method another good old approach still in use today. Next one, the Pulse Induction (PI) metal detection works on an entirely different (and a bit complex) principle, although it’s based on the same principle of the changing inductance of
Nov 27, 2013· This is nearly the end product, and its now fully functional. IN THE END OF THE VIDEO THERE ARE REAL BEACH TESTS!!! The Hammerhead project you can find here:...
A new hybrid metal detector combines induction balance and pulse induction technologies. Target signals are generated from a transmitted wave that has both induction balance and pulse current inducing characteristics and uses pertinent sampling of the receive data. Combining the two data sources provides eddy current target identification while excluding ground permeability and remanence

Pulse Induction Vs VLF! Posted on April 19, 2018 by Cutaplug. When you’re looking at purchasing a metal detector, you’re going to notice right off the bat that you need to decide between a pulse induction metal detector and a very low frequency, or VLF, metal detector.
Below is an example schematic from one of the paper explaining how to build a pulse induction metal detector: I understand the most of the circuit, the problem I am having is understanding what the inputs and outputs should look like on IC4. As far as I understand it the amplifier is essentially amplifying the difference between the coil and
Pulse Induction (PI) systems use a single coil as both transmitter and receiver. This technology sends powerful, short bursts (pulses) of current through a coil of wire. Each pulse generates a brief magnetic field. When the pulse ends, the magnetic field reverses polarity and collapses very suddenly, resulting in a sharp electrical spike.
Oct 28, 2017· Pulse Induction Metal Detector Circuit Posted by dougw in Sensors on Oct 27, 2017 9:14:00 PM This blog provides a brief explanation of how pulse induction circuits detect metal objects. Pulse induction metal detection relies on the fact that when metal is in a changing magnetic field, eddy currents are induced in the metal.
